1) When the grilling season starts, you need to thoroughly clean the grilling grid. Make sure the fuel tank is closed before cleaning.
2) Separate the air pipe and burner, and clean the air pipe with warm soapy water. Wipe the burner with a wet towel first, and then change to a dry towel to wipe the gas port of each burner. Thoroughly remove each air hole with a toothpick or bamboo barbecue fork. When finished, reattach the gas line and burner.
3) Scrub areas of lumpy debris with a long-handled grill brush that contains wire bristles.
4) Burn off the grease and debris, then turn the coals over, close the lid, and heat the grill on high for 15 minutes. This will loosen the grease from the grill and make cleaning easier.
5) Allow the grill to cool for 10-15 minutes before safely removing the grill net and coals, then wash the grill net with soap and water and brush off any lumps of grease with the grill. Steel wool pads can also be used to remove stickies from the grill.
6) Clean the barbecue net with soap and warm water. It is better to pre-soak the barbecue net for cleaning. After washing, dry it with a clean towel. Finally, replace the coal and barbecue net.
